Romantic Winter Dinner

Chef Asaf Otolengi  launches winter menu in "Beit Shalom" boutique hotel restaurant in Metula

Winter in the Finger of the Galilee, nature in all its beauty, the rivers flow strongly,  the landscape of the Galilee and Golan Heights are colored in the shades of the season and join the feast of tastes around the wood-burning fireplace. Chef Asaf Otolengi strictly uses the produce from Hod family's domestic farm, which joins his, Haimke's and Miriam's unique dishes. He compiles an assortment of new dishes alongside the tastes of farmers from the past allowing personal touch. You only have to add salt and pepper to cater to your taste.

First flavors
* Soups: Orange-colored, roots and vegetables served with rustic bread and butter.
* Other delicacies include: labane with olive oil, house cheeses, kaimac – Haimke's   sour cream, eggplants, sandwiches and toasts, pickled olives, salted fish and  more… everything is homemade.

Warming Up
* Fresh trout from the Dan River cooked in wood stove and wrapped in spices.
* Side dish: red wild rice or mashed potato/sweet potato.
* For vegetarians: filo pastry with cauliflower, sweet potato, mushrooms filling, alongside green salad.

The Boulevard of Sweets

Miriam house cakes: chocolate with orange peels, cheese, the famous apple cake made using Haimke grandmother's recipes. All the cakes are served with icecream and obviously, with a good coffee or herbal tea made in a kettle.
